4. Soft waves

You can never go wrong with waves, especially if you are looking for a glamorous yet laid back look. The good thing with waves is that they are perfect for a formal function and can go with practically any outfit. You can also have your curls done two to three days before your party and just have to do a simple touch up on the day of the party. This half up, half down hairstyle is great with a strapless dress and works well in lighter coloured hair.

5. Straight

If your party is right after work and you have no time to get your hair done, this style will transform your laid back work hairstyle into an amazing party style in minutes. The trick is to make sure you have access to a hair straightener. Simply spray some heat protective spray onto your hair first and then run your straightener’s through your hair. It should take no more than 10 minutes for you to do this, particularly if you have fine hair. You will end up with a sleek hairstyle that will last the entire night.
