As anyone with curly hair knows, maintaining your curls in a way that has them looking amazing and defined all the time is like a full-time job!

Instead of straightening your hair all the time, learn to embrace the curl and go natural with these three hairstyles that are fuss-free and easy to achieve.

Volume Up Top, Curls Down Bottom

Curly Hair Volume

To achieve this look, follow these steps:

  1. After you’ve washed your hair, towel dry by ‘scrunching’ the ends of your hair with your towel until semi-dry.
  2. Use a curl cream on ends only.
  3. Now work this through the rest of your hair and either air dry or use a blow dryer on a high heat but low force with diffuser.
  4. To achieve the smoother look on top, when you’re drying, use a wide toothcomb to pull most of the curl out. Simply stop at the place you want your curls to begin.
  5. If you want more volume on top, backcomb the hair and smooth over with a brush.
  6. Finish with a light hairspray and shine spray.

It’s All About The Volume

To achieve this look, follow these steps:

  1. Once you’re hair is washed, towel dry and apply a curl cream to your damp hair.
  2. Blow dry the hair with a diffuser, using a high heat but low force to keep frizz down.
  3. Once your hair is dry, section the front part of the hairstyle and put this out of the way.
  4. Next, grab your side sections and pull back and secure in place with bobby pins, making sure to criss coss them over for added strength and hold.
  5. Grab the front section and back comb until you get the volume you want.  Then twist the hair and push forward slight to create the bump in the front. Smooth out any fly aways and secure with bobby pins.
  6. Finish with a strong hold hairspray to keep in place.

Up And Curly

To achieve this look, follow these steps:

  1. Once you’ve washed your hair, apply a texturizing spray to damp hair.
  2. Leave it to air dry or use a blow dryer + diffuser, low speed and high heat.
  3. Using a comb, smooth hair straight back; being careful not to brush out the curl. Go as high or as low as you want, but the higher you go, the more curl will be visible from the front.
  4. Secure in place with a clear elastic band and loosen your curls so they cover the elastic (if you’ve gone high).
  5. If you want to cover your elastic entirely, pin a few curls forward.
  6. Finish with a light hairspray.

There you have it; all of these looks can be achieved quickly and with minimal fuss. If you wash your hair in the morning, these looks will work well for you.
